The mischievous home of the artist Lasseran is in the corner of the Europe square. Lasseran is a well-known 19th century local painter and sculptor. He will design his house as a token of love for art. Above the entrance door a sculpted tympanum hides some surprises if you chose the right angle. It is richly engraved with 2 Latin quotes (“sol lucet omnibus”- the sun shines for all; “veni, vidi, vici” – I came, I saw, I conquered).
Paul Noël Lasseran also restored the Carmel chapel’s ceiling, painted the old hospital’s ribbed vault (Village of Antiques), decorated private lounges (Hôtel Doazan) and multiple other artworks, blending his passion for art and history.
